A Forest Company is selling saw logs to a Sawmill Company and is the buyer of the transport services. The use case includes all e-documents in the supply chain from instructing the transport company and measuring company to the issue of measuring tickets, invoice specifications and invoices of products and transport services. Inventory Status at roadside landings is communicated. This use case supports the EU Deforestation Regulation.
The objective of this use case is to give an introduction into how production data from a forest harvestor and forwarder (based upon StanForD2010) can be converted into papiNet e-documents: MeasuringTicket and DeliveryMessage. Observe that the document does not include a complete information chain with a large number of papiNet documents sent between several different business partners. The examples only illustrate separate information exchanges that may occur in many different information chains.
A Forest Company is supplying pulpwood to a Pulp Mill. The Forest Company is buying logistics services at a wood terminal from a Terminal Operator. Transports are operated by a Carrier. The use case includes all e-documents in the supply chain from instructing the terminal operator and planning the deliveries to the issue of measuring tickets and invoice of transport services. Load Tender for booking the railcars is communicated.
A Forest Company is selling biofuel (energy wood) to several Power Plants. Biofuel Logistics Operator is a contractor specialised in biofuel processing and transportation logistics. In this use case it is responsible for truck transport from a roadside landing to a Power Plant. The use case includes all e-documents in the supply chain from instructing the biofuel logistics operator and planning the deliveries to the issue of measuring tickets, invoice specifications and invoices of biofuel and transport services. Measuring Ticket for biofuel sample analyses (moisture and energy content) is communicated.
The objective of this use case is to show how a subset of the DeliveryMessage can be provided by a QR-code instead of sending the complete DeliveryMessage as an e-document. Note that one of the elements in the QR-code may contain a URL to the complete DeliveryMessage published by the issuer. The complete e-document can be downloaded when more information than contained in the QR-code is needed.

The Forest company is producing Renewable Diesel and buying liquid raw materials from several sources. Raw material is stored in intermediate tanks in order to be transported to the renewable diesel factory or to be sold to customers. Transport company is a transport contractor specialised for liquid transportations with special vehicles and units. Transportation includes pumping of liquid from storage tank when loading and pumping into site tank when unloading. Volumes have to be measured at loading and unloading locations. Also quality sample is taken when unloading material is stored in intermediate tanks in order to transport to the Renewable diesel factory or to be sold to liquid to tank. Loading / unloading slot booking is used if loading/unloading is done at the Renewable Diesel plant. Transportation bookings and confirmations are routed via Logistic Integration Provider to / from Transport companies.
